Iris dampers

How does an Iris damper work?

The Iris damper controls the air flow by means of adjustable louvers. When the louvers are adjusted, the air flow can be increased or decreased, depending on the desired settings. The built-in scale makes it easy to read and set the exact air flow, which is ideal for ventilation systems (for example mechanical ventilation or a WTW unit) in both commercial and industrial applications.

Our range of iris dampers

On our website you can choose from iris dampers with different diameters and capacities that are suitable for different types of ventilation systems. These dampers are made of high-quality materials such as galvanized steel, which ensures a durable and reliable solution.

What are the advantages of iris dampers?

• Precise air control: Adjustable louvers ensure precise adjustment of the air flow.
• Scale division: For easy reading and adjustment of the air flow.
• Versatility: Suitable for both air flow control and soundproofing.
• Durability: Made of sturdy galvanized steel for long-term use.

How do you install and maintain an iris damper?

Place the iris damper in an easily accessible place in the ventilation duct, so that you can easily access it later for maintenance. When mounting, ensure that the connection is neatly airtight and use sturdy mounting materials to prevent the damper from coming loose or vibrating during use. Clean the slats regularly, for example with a cloth or a soft brush, so that dust and dirt do not obstruct the air flow. It is also wise to occasionally check whether the damper still opens and closes properly and whether the set position is still correct, especially if there have been changes to the ventilation system.
